Replay Maintenance, a UK-based provider of synthetic sports surface maintenance and installation solutions, received a £6.5m management buyout backed by YFM Equity Partners.
The business, which is headquartered in Long Bennington, East Midlands, has a 20-year track record in delivering service and maintenance contracts for synthetic sports surfaces across the UK. It has established itself as a market leading specialist in athletics tracks, 3G pitches, artificial tennis courts, water-based hockey pitches and sand-filled or sand-dressed carpet sports surfaces.
The company’s expertise has also led to its involvement in preparing facilities for major international events, including the 2012 Olympics and the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2022.
YFM’s £6.5m MBO investment is supporting incumbent managing director Nick Harris in leading the buyout. Harris has been with the business since 2012, initially joining as business development manager. He is joined by Amy Hart, Tony Aitchison, and Sean Cook to form the management team.
The company intends to use the funds to achieve further growth by building upon its existing client base, pursuing new business and consolidating its position as UK market leader.
PMSI provided CDD to support the transaction, addressing critical investment themes such as: the size and growth of the sports surface maintenance market; key dynamics and drivers within the market; as well as an assessment of Replay Maintenance’s competitive positioning.
