Inciner8 is a designer and manufacturer of small incinerators for a range of applications across the waste management industry including medical, municipal and animal. Rising waste levels and the subsequent need for its safe and environmentally friendly disposal is a growing problem worldwide and Inciner8’s range of incinerators allow its clients (e.g. hospitals, farming sites, mining and oil & gas sites, aid agencies etc) to safely and cost effectively treat their waste onsite thereby reducing the need to send waste to landfills which in many countries have reached capacity or are very expensive.
PMSI provided CDD on behalf of Chiltern Capital – the private equity investors. Our work included market sizing Inciner8’s multiple application areas (c.8) to understand the total addressable market, the current penetration of such products and the potential for growth. We also looked at the business’s positioning within the market, vs competitor offerings, including extensive customer referencing.
The business received an undisclosed equity investment from Chiltern Capital in November 2020, supporting the management team to build on Inciner8’s successful growth track record and develop additional revenue streams.
“Having worked with PMSI for the first time during our acquisition of Inciner8, I found them to be diligent, efficient and very collaborative throughout the process. They got to grips with our requirements quickly and provided a well-prepared report covering the full scope of information and intel requested at the outset.” David Butler, Chiltern Capital

London Offshore Consultants (LOC Group) are a leading marine and engineering consultancy firm, operating in the shipping, oil & gas and renewables sectors. LOC provides loss prevention (marine warranty, surveys, inspections & audits, technical due diligence), loss management (marine casualties, claims, disputes and litigation) and marine and engineering consultancy services across a global network of over 30 offices.
PMSI provided vendor commercial due diligence (VCDD) to support Bridgepoint’s sale of LOC. A key aspect of our work involved presenting the business’s complex mix of service lines and end-sectors, as well as sizing technically complex markets in a way that was sufficiently detailed, while easily digestible for both private equity and trade bidders. We worked closely with LOCG management throughout the process to achieve this aim.
LOC was acquired by AqualisBraemar, an Oslo-listed group that offers consultancy services to the offshore energy industries. The group’s strategy is to grow through continued expansion in the rapidly growing offshore renewables industry, and leverage on its position within shipping and oil and gas markets, to support the global energy transition.
“The due diligence reports were well presented with some excellent insights and we found PMSI to be very curious about the complexities of our business yet were crisp in drawing conclusions. The litmus test is that we were able to use their report to inform our operations let alone the transaction.”R V Ahilan, CEO, LOC Group
